Corporate Strategy & IR Advisory

Investors seek a clear equity story – the execution of a value-added strategy by which a company address its customers’ needs and transforms itself to unlock value.

That story changes as a corporation faces new challenges. The way a company responds – and enhances shareholder value in the process – forms the cornerstone of its equity narrative. It must be renewed, packaged and communicated to meet disclosure requirements and yet remain highly attractive to stakeholders. The media seeks a growth story that is newsworthy. Investors seek out undervalued companies whose equity story and strategic execution can be trusted.

With a strong emphasis on engagement at senior levels, WeR1 has helped dozens of companies achieve strategic transformation as they respond to changes in the business landscape.

With strategic clarity in place, WeR1 then helps these corporations communicate their equity stories consistently and with impact. This is achieved through support in crafting, planning the corporate calendar, drafting announcements and collateral and engaging the media and investors.

A significant IR deliverable unique to WeR1 is the Corporate & Business Update (CBU) – a comprehensive 4 – 6 page announcement (not a press release) issued via SGXNet that crystallises the company’s response to the challenges and opportunities.

This format, pioneered by WeR1 and successfully executed over 30 times over the last 12 years, combines:

  • strategic clarity;
  • disclosure, including guidance where relevant; and
  • a compelling narrative to engage stakeholders.

FU YU CORPORATION

After a change of control and management, Fu Yu needed to convey its new strategic direction to the market. WeR1 crafted a Corporate & Business Update (CBU) that reframed Fu Yu’s value proposition to the market. The announcement drew immediate market response. The Business Times described it as the playbook for small-cap companies seeking to revive investor interest.

INNOTEK LIMITED

After two years of articulating a strategy to expand into GPU components for the AI sector, InnoTek secured a project from Nvidia. WeR1’s media strategy and press release resulted in significant market interest. We also facilitated meetings with institutional investors and supported InnoTek’s participation in various sell-side conferences. In April 2026, InnoTek raised S$16 million in a private placement, which included institutional investors such as Avanda and Lion Global.

CORDLIFE GROUP

When Singapore’s Ministry of Health suspended Cordlife’s cord-blood banking operations in December 2023, WeR1 was brought in for crisis communications. We organised a media interview for the CEO, which was widely praised for its transparency and composure. Once Cordlife received approval to resume operations, WeR1 organised a media tour of their improved facility – attracting over 20 media representatives.

Elevate Grant: Access up to S$200,000 in co-funding (50% of eligible fees) for a professional IR retainer with WeR1. Programme runs January 2026 – December 2028.
